Electric cars are slowly becoming popular, due to their very low running costs and them being much more environmentally-friendly than their petrol and diesel-fuelled counterparts.
Getting cost-effective electric car insurance, can still be difficult. This is because electric cars and vans are fairly new to the UK market and many car insurance providers simply do not have the facilities to insure this type of vehicle.
Those that do may only be able to offer cover that isn’t cost-effective and which doesn’t offer the full range of cover required.
